Skinsafe is a registered charitable trust, our aim is to raise awareness of the risks of melanoma, and the importance of identifying melanoma at an early stage. Most people do not monitor and screen their skin as often as they should and when a problematic mole is discovered and diagnosed as melanoma it is often too late.
We work with businesses to help in the fight against skin cancer and break down the barriers to getting specialist skin advice. We put the tools and technology in the hands of all New Zealanders, so people are empowered to take control over their own skin health and well being.
It’s the fourth most common cancer in New Zealand and accounts for nearly 80% of all skin cancer deaths.
Around 300 New Zealanders die of melanoma every year.
Over 4000 people are diagnosed with either melanoma in situ or invasive melanoma every year in New Zealand.
Register your company with us and we will work with you to offer your employees and customers tools with which they can assess and monitor their skin, all with the aim of identifying melanoma at an earlier stage.
